No quick spray and go
A carpet can look fine from a distance and still be holding a surprising amount of grit, dust, pet hair and old spills at the base of the pile. A light surface treatment brightens it for a short while, but the dirt is still there. We assess the carpet type and how soiled it is, pre-treat the stains, and then do the job properly:
- A thorough pre-vacuum to lift dry soil.
- A conditioning pre-spray, with marks and spills spot treated one by one.
- Agitation with a brush, working the solution down to the soil.
- Hot water extraction at 120°C on our Power-Flex Storm 800psi machine, rinsing out the dirt and solution together and killing dust mites and bacteria.
- Grooming to realign the fibres, which looks better and dries faster.
Stain treatment and deodoriser are part of every clean, not extras. We use eco-friendly cleaning agents with no harsh or caustic chemicals, so the clean is safe for children and pets, and because the extraction rinses the solution out, there is no sticky residue left to attract dirt.

Timings, drying and furniture
For a typical three-bedroom home, expect us to be there around two to four hours. We will give you a better idea when you book, once we know which rooms and items are involved.
Carpets are usually dry within a few hours, depending on ventilation and the thickness of the pile. Keeping a window open helps, and we bring a turbo dryer fan if a room needs to be back in use quickly. Please clear small items, valuables and anything fragile beforehand. We work around beds, wardrobes and big sofas and put protective pads under furniture where needed. Once the carpet is dry, a soil protector or Scotchgard will help it resist the next spill.
Sofa, chair and mattress cleaning in Kingston
Every piece of upholstery is looked at before we start: the fabric, how it is made, whether it has been treated before and how soiled it is. Hard wearing synthetic fabrics clean well with hot water extraction, while velvet, linen and other natural or delicate fabrics get a lower moisture or specialist approach. We clean sofas, armchairs, dining chairs and fabric headboards, plus leather furniture and mattresses.

Wool carpets and rugs

Too much water can shrink or distort it, and harsh alkaline products strip the natural oils that keep it soft. We are Woolsafe approved, with a Woolsafe Registered Inspector, which means we are trained to clean wool and other natural fibres safely with independently tested products.
For wool we use pH neutral, Woolsafe approved solutions, and for delicate or antique rugs we keep moisture and agitation to a minimum, using a low moisture method where it suits the rug better. Fringes are cleaned separately and the pile is groomed by hand. Rug cleaning starts from £50, depending on size.
