Whether it is one lounge that has had a hard winter or every room before a house goes on the market, the job gets the same care. The carpet is pre-vacuumed, pre-sprayed, spot treated and agitated with a brush, then rinsed by hot water extraction at 120°C.

Older houses, stairs and wool carpets

Rugs on floorboards and hard floors
If you have floorboards or a hard floor with a rug or runner on top, that rug is probably working harder than it looks. Grit settles at the base of the pile and wears the fibres every time someone walks across it, long before it looks dirty. We clean most rugs in your home with portable equipment. Synthetic rugs are rinsed by hot water extraction at 120°C, while wool, silk and hand knotted rugs get a dye check first and then careful moisture control or a low moisture method. Fringes are cleaned separately and the pile is groomed by hand.

What happens on the day
We start by looking at the carpet: the fibre, the worst marks and anything that needs special care. The whole area is vacuumed to lift dry soil, and a conditioning pre-spray goes down. Coffee, red wine, mud and pet accidents are each spot treated with the right product, and if a mark looks permanent we tell you before going any further.
Then comes the step plenty of companies skip. We agitate the pre-spray into the pile with a brush so it reaches the dirt, then rinse with our Power-Flex Storm 800psi machine at 120°C. That flushes out the soil and the cleaning solution together and kills dust mites and bacteria. The pile is groomed at the end so it dries evenly. Stain treatment and deodoriser are included as standard, and our cleaning agents are free from harsh or caustic chemicals, so they are safe with children and pets.
Carpets usually take a few hours to dry, depending on the carpet and how soiled it was, and we use a turbo dryer fan if you need the room back sooner. Afterwards we recommend a soil protector or Scotchgard, which helps the fibres shed dirt so you can go longer between cleans.
Sofas, mattresses and Amtico in KT7
Carpets are often only part of the job. We clean fabric and leather sofas in your home, every cushion front and back plus the whole base: £110 for a two-seater, £130 for a three-seater and £140 for a four-seater, with armchairs at £45. Mattresses start from £40 for a single. If you have Amtico or LVT in a kitchen or hallway, we can deep clean it, or strip and re-seal it, from £110 per room.
